In 2010 Michigan Pride/Equality
Michigan hired Petra Productions to film the highlights of Michigan Pride. The crew and I had a great time documenting the parade and festival. County Music Star Chely Wright was the Grand Marshal that year. The crowds were beyond excited to have her in Lansing. Chely was a delight and spoke to every fan that approached her. She was the first country singer to come out and had just made her announcement on Oprah that year. It was a unique moment in county music history.
I was happy that some of the footage I captured was also used in the documentary Chely Wright Wish Me Away. The film was produced by the TV Gals, who are BEVERLY KOPF an Emmy Award winning writer of The View (ABC) and BOBBIE BIRLEFFI an Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker. The documentary was released this year and has won acclaim at film festivals around the world. You can view the documentary on Netflix.

Here are a few of the moments from Michigan Pride 2010 filmed by Petra Daher Productions that made it in the documentary. I love the opportunity to work with other documentary makers!
